Privacy policy
Who we are
Review Climb is a service of Altitude Marketing Pty Ltd (ABN 36 692 142 519, ACN 692 142 519), Unit 207, 77 Nicholson Street, Brunswick East VIC 3057. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Altitude Marketing Pty Ltd. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
Two kinds of people we hold information about
Our clients — the businesses that use Review Climb, and the people we deal with there.
Our clients’ customers — people a business asks for a review. A business gives us its customers’ details so we can send review requests on its behalf. For those messages, the business decides who is contacted and is responsible for having a proper basis to contact them; we act on its instructions.
What we collect
From clients: names, business details, phone numbers, email addresses, billing details, and access to the accounts needed to run the service (such as a Google Business Profile).
About clients’ customers: first and last name, mobile number, email address, and whether they have been a customer, clicked a review link or replied. We don’t ask for or want sensitive information.
From visitors to this website: anything you enter when you book a call or contact us, and standard technical information such as your browser and pages visited.
How we use it
To send review requests, follow-ups and (where a business has chosen it) referral messages by SMS and email; to create a personalised thank-you image showing the customer’s first name; to show the business how its review requests are going; to provide, bill and support the service; and to reply to enquiries. We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t use a business’s customer list for anyone else’s marketing.
This website uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies to tell us how visitors use the site and whether they book a call. You can block these cookies in your browser settings.
Opting out
Every customer can stop receiving messages. Reply to a text to tell the business you don’t want to hear from it, use the unsubscribe link in any email, or contact us using the details below and we’ll stop messages to you.
Who we share it with
We use service providers to run Review Climb: our customer relationship and messaging platform, SMS and email delivery services, an image service that creates the personalised images, integration tools that connect a business’s job or accounting software, and payment, accounting and email providers. They only receive what they need to provide their service to us.
Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it and how we protect it
We keep information while we provide the service to the business and for as long afterwards as we need to for legal, accounting and record-keeping purposes, then delete or de-identify it. Access is limited to the people who need it, and accounts are protected with passwords and two-factor authentication.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or make a privacy complaint, by emailing luke@altitudemarketing.com.au or calling 0489 183 293. We’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
